What are the features of the Benchmade Taggedout?

The Taggedout is the ultra-lightweight hunting and skinning knife from the Oregon-based knife manufacturer. At 20.65 cm (versus 18.95 cm), it is slightly larger than the Bugout models. But what's really interesting about this model is how incredibly thin the blade is. At just 2,286mm at the spine, it truly cuts like a laser. That also makes it very light for its size. It weighs only 59.5 grams versus the Bugouts 55 grams.

The clippoint blade is angled forward just a tiny bit, so the belly of the blade is right where you want it, without having to adjust your grip or bend your wrist (that much) at an angle while cutting. to cut.

Who is the Benchmade Taggedout suitable for?

Obviously for hunters they gave the blade a bit more belly and made the handle in signal orange. The handle shells are made of grivory like most Bugouts and they've added some selective texture here and there to give the user extra grip where it's needed most.

The Taggedout blade comes in CPM-154, which is very nice for the target audience, with decent edge retention and solid corrosion resistance, while still being relatively easy to maintain in the field.

Maintaining the Benchmade Taggedout

Something we don't really see as a failure, but worth mentioning is the lighter colors on grivory scales. We've seen Bugouts in white and orange and now the Taggedout in orange. If you use the knife with these colors you will just see it get dirty. Even after you clean it, you can see some light marks. Again: this is not a big deal. It is a tool and tools can get dirty. A few spots here and there will give it character, but your piggy will know you rolled in his mud bath, you know? It's just something you should know before buying a lighter colored blade like this.

All in all, the Taggedout is a surprisingly cool EDC knife for such a specific target group.
