The Old Man South

The Old Man South was created after the success of The Old Man Boardsports in the center of Amsterdam. The city center became increasingly busy and we noticed that it was more difficult for Amsterdam and Dutch people to reach us. To solve this problem, we started a store in the Rijnstraat: The Old Man South . The store is easy to reach for people inside and outside the city. Due to its location close to the A2 and A10. It is a large, spacious store (300m2+) in a street with many parking spaces. Today, The Old Man South is the store with the largest Snowboard, Winter Sports and Surf range of all our stores and is known as the hotspot for snowboarders and winter sports.

Service, knowledge, customer friendliness and high-quality products are central to us. Everyone is welcome. In the summer we have an extensive range of summer and beach clothing, both technical and casual, skateboards, longboards, SUPs, a number of important surfboards and especially surfing accessories. In winter an extensive range of winter and winter sports clothing. Here again, both in technical clothing and casual. We work with strong brands, such as Burton, Volcom, Billabon, Arc'teryx and many more.

In winter there is more focus on technical winter sports clothing and we also have an excellent wax and sharpening service center for both ski and snowboard. You can actually just drop by for the maintenance of your snowboard or skis, but you can also make an appointment by telephone for maintenance of your snowboard, skis or information.

We are one of the few dealers in the Netherlands who sell the Burton Step-On system and special Burton snowboards . Burton Step-On is the latest innovation in the Snowboard world. With this system you no longer have to sit down to tighten your bindings. You step into your binding, click it into place and off you go!

All our employees practice one or more board sports, such as surfing, skating or snowboarding. There is almost always a team member present in the store who can answer specialist questions about surfing, skating or snowboarding.
